Brooke Elvington is an AV-Rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell.  An AV-Rating is a testament that the lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence. In addition, she was selected for inclusion into the Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers by Martindale-Hubbell, and is ranked 10/10 from AVVO.

Ms. Elvington dedicates her practice to Florida criminal appeals and post-conviction matters.  To date, Ms. Elvington has personally handled more than 300 Florida direct criminal appeals and post-conviction cases.  Some attorneys combine their level of experience with other attorneys; however, all of Ms. Elvington's work has been, and will always be, performed exclusively by her.  You will speak directly with her, not an assistant or law clerk.  While her office is located in the Tampa area, she represents clients throughout Florida, including Orlando, Miami, Jacksonville and Tallahassee.

She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida and graduated from Penn State University Dickinson School of Law, cum laude.  Ms. Elvington began her legal career working in civil litigation with a large Tampa firm; however, within a short period of time she dedicated her work to criminal defense.  Ms. Elvington is an experienced criminal defense attorney in both State and Federal Court.  She tried this Nation's first Patriot Act case in Tampa, Florida from 2003-2005.

In 2005 Ms. Elvington entered private practice and focused exclusively on criminal appeals and post-conviction cases.  More than 10 years later, Ms. Elvington continues in that mission.    She handles cases ranging from misdemeanor offenses to first-degree murder.

In addition to Ms. Elvington's private cases, she works as a consultant with attorneys throughout the State.  She assists with complex motions and writs, and aids criminal defense attorneys in preserving legal issues for appeal.
