Brooke Elvington
Attorney at Law

*AS OF JUNE 1, 2014 MS. ELVINGTON IS NOT ACCEPTING NEW PRIVATE CASES DUE TO CURRENT RESPONSIBILITIES*

Ms. Elvington handles criminal appellate cases ranging from misdemeanor offenses to first-degree murder.  No case is too small, and no case is too large! Ms. Elvington is an experienced litigator that limits her practice to criminal appeals and post conviction matters.  Ms. Elvington's litigation experience aided her in becoming a skilled writer and orator, both of which are invaluable skills for purposes of analyzing  records on appeal, researching legal issues, drafting legal briefs, and presenting oral arguments.  Ms. Elvington is committed to defending individual rights and ensuring, to the best of her ability, that every individual is afforded due process.  Ms. Elvington recognizes that the appellate process can be complicated and difficult to understand.  We take the time to explain, in full detail, the entire appellate process so that our clients understand  how their case will be handled.  We then invite our clients to discuss any issues that he/she believes are pertinent for appeal.  After the entire case is reviewed by counsel, we again communicate with the client to advise regarding counsel's opinions as to the issues on appeal.  Briefs will only be filed with an appellate court after all issues are discussed and the client is informed as to the issues raised, or the issues rejected.  We understand that our client's cases are not just "files," rather, we respect that each case represents a unique  history and set of circumstances that require careful review and attention.  We pride ourselves on our role as counselors at law, and thus, we will take whatever time and energy needed to not only defend a client's case, but also to ensure that every client is provided open communication with us throughout the process.
